Where is Kula located?
Kula is located just South of Pukalani off of the Haleakala Highway. Elevations vary in Kula by quite a bit depending on the location. The lower portions of of Kula on Omaopio Road star at about 1,200 foot elevation and the highest elevation for homes is about 4,000 feet.

Kula is the second largest area of Maui stretching over a 14-mile distance from North to South and totaling about 166 square miles. The 2010 census reported that Kula has a population of about 8,013 people which results in a population density of just 48 people per square mile which is one of lowest rates on Maui (compare that to Kahului's density rate of 4,694 people per square mile).
